Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging art lessons that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards. Nurture students' creativity and passion for the arts through the development of innovative teaching methods. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to express themselves. Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement. Collaborate with colleagues in the Art department to share best practices and develop cohesive schemes of work. Organize and participate in extracurricular art activities, such as art clubs and exhibitions, to inspire and showcase students' talents. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching art at the primary/secondary level. Excellent knowledge of art history, techniques, and various artistic styles. Strong classroom management and behavior management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the development of the department's curriculum. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, parents, and staff members. Familiarity with educational technology and willingness to integrate it into teaching practices.
