Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire Category: Sales Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £70,000 OTE (uncapped) About the Role A leading automotive retailer in the South and South-West, operating multiple franchises across the region, is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Manager. This opportunity has arisen due to internal promotion, and the successful candidate will be responsible for driving the performance of an established sales team within a busy dealership environment. What You'll Be Doing As Sales Manager, you'll play a key role in achieving departmental sales and financial targets through effective planning, leadership, and execution. Your responsibilities will include: Coaching and supporting the management team-including the Used Car Manager and Assistant Sales Manager-in leading Sales Executives and Sales Administrators to achieve their objectives. Ensuring the sales team receives up-to-date product knowledge and ongoing training. Developing and delivering a comprehensive profit plan, covering business planning, marketing and advertising budgets, operating costs, capital requirements, and sales forecasting. Overseeing administrative systems within the department to ensure full compliance. Ensuring all customer enquiries follow the correct sales process and that all related transactions are accurately recorded. Excellent communication skills with the ability to analyse and present information clearly. A full UK driving licence. Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. A track record of delivering excellent customer service in a sales environment. Experience managing a team and supporting their development.
