Overview
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will contribute to our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes by delivering engaging activities and supporting residents and the home team.
Please note: Successful applicants will ideally be able to drive the minibus.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement activities that will delight residents and support their social engagement.
* Assist the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events.
* Work with residents to develop activity ideas based on their hobbies, and involve other care home staff to deliver activities with kindness as the guiding principle.
Qualifications
* Experience working with vulnerable individuals; ideally experience developing activity programmes.
* Strong planning, organisational and IT skills; good time management.
* Positive energy, ability to get along with people, and a kind, considerate approach when communicating with residents and colleagues.
* Safeguarding awareness: ability to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect; willingness to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training; know how to seek advice and escalate concerns if required.
