Job Title: Credit Controller Location: Keynsham (near Bath/Bristol) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (this role is not part-time) Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (office-based) Salary: £33,000 to £36,000 About Alide Hire Services They're an independent equipment hire company that's been serving the South West for over 40 years. They supply powered access, tools, plant and welfare equipment from our depots in Bristol, Bath and Keynsham. They're not part of a national chain - they're a proper local business where people stay for years and get developed. The Credit Controller Role You'll take full ownership of our credit control function: • Managing approximately £1 million monthly debt book • Around 630 live customer accounts • Mix of 30, 45 and 60 day payment terms • Chasing payments by phone and email (phone-heavy role) • Processing BACS, card and cheque payments • Resolving invoice queries and disputes • Assessing credit applications and recommending limits • Working with depot and sales teams on account holds • Contributing ideas for process improvements What This New Credit Controller Role Offers • Sole ownership of the credit control function • Brand new office in Keynsham with free on-site parking • Hands-off management - trusted to get on with the job • Full handover from current Credit Controller • Stable, established company (40 years) • A team that values your happiness at work What We're Looking For • Credit control experience (hire, construction or trade sector ideal but not essential) • Someone who genuinely enjoys credit control • Confident and comfortable on the phone • Good at building relationships while being firm when needed • Strong organisational skills • Sage 200 experience useful but not essential Please Note This is a full-time, office-based role.
