Our client is a nationwide construction firm. They are looking for an apprentice to support one of their offices in Croydon
As an IT Support Apprentice, you’ll gain practical, hands-on experience supporting, maintaining and improving IT systems, while working towards an industry-recognised qualification. You’ll be part of a small team delivering prompt support to colleagues across all departments, from workshop-floor staff to senior management.
Duties
1. Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving IT issues (hardware, software, and network).
2. Responding to support requests via their ticketing system and in person.
3. Supporting the setup of new user accounts, devices, and equipment.
4. Helping maintain and update IT documentation, guides, and asset records
5. Assisting with installing, configuring, and testing hardware and software.
6. Supporting colleagues in using applications and systems effectively.
7. Learning and applying best practices in cybersecurity and data protection.
8. Helping ensure smooth operation of manufacturing-related technology (e.g., production PCs, CAD machines, printers)
About you
To be an IT Support Apprentice, you must be a tech enthusiast with 5 GCSEs (ideally A* – C, 4-9) including Maths and English.
This 16-month Apprenticeship has a salary of £20, per year.
Your training will include gaining internationally recognised Level 3 IT qualifications.

9. Enthusiasm for technology and problem-solving.
10. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with different teams.
11. A logical, methodical approach to troubleshooting.
12. Basic IT knowledge (Windows, MS Office, internet) – any extra knowledge is a bonus.
13. Willingness to learn and adapt in a busy environment.
14. Minimum GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including maths and English.
15. Willingness and ability to travel via either public transport or by car to ensure support is provided for all sites across the country.
