Colchester United Community Foundation is the official charity partner for Colchester United Football Club. We provide high-quality community programmes to 9,000 children, young people, and adults from across the region each week, including supporting the Colchester United Women's Team.
Are you a talented and committed Assistant Coach who would like the opportunity to work supporting the Colchester United Community Foundation Women's Team?
If you are a Football Coach with experience and/or passion for the female game, alongside working in senior women’s football, then this is an opportunity for you!
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious football coach to join our Women’s Coaching Team and become a key figure at the top of our women’s pathway.
Roles and responsibilities include working closely with the Colchester United Women’s Team Committee, Head Coach, and Coaching Staff, planning and delivering training sessions, managing staff and players, recruitment, and matchdays. Additional duties include press responsibilities, contributions to Matchday Programmes, fan engagement, and attending club events.
This position is a vital appointment within the Women’s & Girl’s pathway, requiring tenacity and creativity to overcome obstacles, and a leadership role to inspire and motivate both on and off the pitch.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum UEFA C Coaching Award (or currently enrolled on the course)
* FA Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF)
* FA Safeguarding Children
* Willing to complete a CUFC Enhanced DBS Check
* Full Clean UK Driving License
* Experience coaching in the senior women’s game and understanding the needs of female athletes
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop
* Build positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, players, committee members, and supporters on and off the pitch during training and matchdays.
Deliver
* Provide high-quality coaching and matchday experiences for players.
Support
* Assist with recruitment, development, and engagement of players towards KPIs.
Collaborate
* Work with colleagues, volunteers, players, and committee members to maximize impact and help players reach their potential.
Evaluate
* Assess development through Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and showcase team success.
