An exceptional educational institution is seeking an ARP Lead Teacher to work closely with the Assistant Vice Principal – Inclusion. This role is crucial in embedding the vision and values of the institution, striving to offer an outstanding education to all students.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan, deliver, and develop a specific curriculum to support all student needs within the ARP.
* Ensure that mainstream teachers provide suitable curriculum opportunities for ARP students.
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the ARP, including collaboration with Learning Mentors.
* Create and manage a positive learning environment for ARP students.
* Oversee educational plans for all students within the ARP and monitor these in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
* Collaborate with support staff, teachers, families, and other professionals to ensure EHCP provisions are met.
* Provide training to staff across the school to support working with students in the ARP.
* Assess, record, and report on the development and progress of learners within the ARP.
* Lead annual review meetings in collaboration with the local authority and parents.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status.
* Experience working with students with Moderate Learning Difficulties.
* Proven experience in leading teams.
* Extensive knowledge in developing and monitoring individual education plans for students with Special Educational Needs.
* Demonstrable knowledge of effective classroom and behaviour management strategies for students with Moderate Learning Difficulties.
* Ability to analyse data, evaluate performance, and plan for improvement.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
* High level organisational skills and the ability to effectively deploy staff and resources.
