Duties of a Service Vehicle Technician
- Performing routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on various vehicle makes and models
- Carrying out diagnostic tests and electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) following manufacturer standards
- Completing accurate digital write-ups and maintaining detailed job cards
- Supporting warranty work and ensuring repairs meet safety and quality standards
- Adhering to workshop processes and safety protocols
- Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service and quality workmanship
- Maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment
Requirements of a Service Vehicle Technician
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Service Vehicle Technician, with diagnostics and warranty experience preferred
- MOT licence is desirable; training can be provided if not yet qualified
- Strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional automotive setting
- Flexible attitude towards working hours, including occasional Saturday mornings on a rota basis
