M4 Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established client based in Elstree for an experienced and proactive Production and Aftercare Assistant .
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and supportive team within a dynamic manufacturing and service environment. The successful candidate will play a key role supporting purchasing, production, and customer aftercare operations, ensuring smooth workflow from order through to delivery and post-sale service.
Key Responsibilities Provide administrative support across purchasing, production, and aftercare functions.
Use SAP Business One to manage data, production orders, and supplier information.
Build and maintain positive supplier relationships, negotiating and tracking pricing.
Order components for customer projects and prepare paperwork for UK and overseas shipping (including EU documentation).
Create and manage production orders, monitor open jobs, and ensure goods are dispatched on schedule.
Maintain production schedules and distribute paperwork to engineering teams.
Log service and repair calls, provide repair quotations, and coordinate third-party contractors.
Schedule customer appointments, provide progress updates, and ensure timely completion of aftercare work.
About You Proven background in administration, production support, or purchasing coordination.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
Strong communication and relationship-building abilities (suppliers, customers, internal teams).
Commercially aware with sound negotiation skills.
IT-literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office ; experience with SAP Business One is advantageous.
Self-motivated, customer-focused, and based within a commutable distance of Elstree (up to 1 hour).
