Land Law LLP are recruiting now for an IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN to join the team based at our Altrincham office. We also have an office in Ilkley and there will be occasional travel to support the team there. Supporting the IT Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified IT Support Technician. The responsibilities of the role include: To troubleshoot daily IT issues raised by the Land Law team and IT Manager, responding in person or via MS Teams. To diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software faults. To update and upgrade computer systems as needed. To regularly review security reports and address potential threats. Support the IT Manager in the successful roll out of new systems and software across the firm. To continually look to identify and implement solutions to improve workflow efficiency. To set up systems and equipment for new joiners to the firm. To train and support the team on new technologies and best practices. To manage user accounts: creation, deactivation, and deletion. To configure and maintain printers and scanners. Produce clear user guides and knowledge base articles. Maintain accurate IT records and documentation. Work with the IT Manager to oversee network infrastructure, including cabling, switches, Wi-Fi, and firewalls. Provide support and assistance to the team on the firms phone systems Ensure compliance with health and safety and confidentiality obligations. Securely erase storage devices before disposal. Maintain the Land Law asset register through regular physical audits, accurate documentation of asset additions, disposals and transfers. To support the wider Land Law team with any additional ad hoc tasks including office furniture and workplace set up. What we are looking for Successful candidates will have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification, have excellent communication skills, and will be honest, reliable and punctual. At least 1 years experience in an IT support role. Experience with Microsoft Azure, Intune, and Entra (desirable). Proficient in supporting the MS Office 365 suite Strong project and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Analytical and effective problem-solving abilities. Able to engage and support users with varying technical skills, including experienced/senior legal professionals.
