As part of their ongoing growth, we are recruiting an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to help strengthen their safety culture and ensure compliance across all manufacturing operations. Role Overview The EHS Coordinator will play a key role in developing, coordinating, and implementing environmental, health, and safety policies and programs across the manufacturing site. This position will work closely with the Operations and Engineering teams to ensure full compliance with legal and company standards while driving continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities * Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and management systems in line with company and regulatory requirements. * Conduct regular workplace, process, and equipment inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance. * Support accident and incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. * Deliver and coordinate occupational health and safety training for all employees and contractors. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS legislation and ensure the business remains compliant. * Collaborate with site management to foster a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset. * Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, and sustainability initiatives. * Prepare and maintain EHS documentation, reports, and performance metrics for internal and external audits. Key Requirements * Proven experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment * Strong understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental regulations. * Relevant qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma, IOSH Managing Safely). * Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage teams at all levels. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. * Passionate about promoting a safe, sustainable, and responsible workplace.
