Our new Community Branch model is all about delivering ethical banking, practical support, and positive impact locally – right where it matters most. ​ Now, we’re looking for someone warm, welcoming, and community‑minded to help make this vision real. ​ About the role ​ As our Branch Service Specialist, you’ll be the friendly face that greets every customer who walks through the door. You’ll play a vital role in creating a positive branch experience – helping people with their questions, supporting them through their savings and mortgage journeys, and making sure every visitor feels valued and supported. ​ You’ll also play an active part in our community activity, from signposting support to assisting with small events and local partnerships. ​ While this is not a leadership role, it is a hugely important one – you’ll be a cornerstone of the branch experience and a key contributor to our mission in Porth and across Rhondda Cynon Taf. ​ What you’ll be doing ​ Welcoming customers and providing warm, friendly, helpful service Supporting customers with everyday enquiries about savings, mortgages and Ecology services Helping with customer reviews and outbound calling to deliver great service Keeping the branch running smoothly through accurate admin and attention to detail Creating a safe, tidy and inviting space for customers Supporting community activity, including information sessions and local initiatives Working closely with your Branch Manager and Head Office colleagues Bringing Ecology’s values to life in every interaction ​ Who we’re looking for ​ Essential A positive, can‑do attitude that reflects Ecology’s values A genuine passion for customer service and community impact Strong communication skills Excellent organisation and attention to detail Confidence using your initiative to help customers Experience in a customer‑facing role Welsh speaking Desirable Experience in financial services Knowledge of savings or mortgage products Good IT skills (Word, Excel, etc.) ​ Why join Ecology? ​ Because here, you’re not just doing a job – you’re helping to build something new. ​ You’ll be part of an organisation that: Champions fairness, openness, responsibility, cooperation and activism Cares deeply about people, communities, and the planet Encourages you to Deliver Together, Lead With Care, Own Your Impact and Dare To Be Different Empowers you to make meaningful, local change This is a role for someone who believes in ethical finance, people‑first service, and doing business in a better way. ​ Our Benefits: ​ Salary. ​ We’re committed to paying our people fairly for the role they undertake and are an accredited Living Wage employer.​ ​ Holiday. ​ You’ll get 25 days plus Bank Holidays, and after a qualifying period you’ll be able to purchase up to an additional 5 days leave.​ ​ Pension. ​ We know how important it is to save towards your future, that’s why we’ll contribute 8% into your pension and you’ll contribute a minimum of 1%.​ ​ Performance Related Pay. ​ After a qualifying period, you’ll be included in our discretionary performance related pay scheme.​ ​ Wellbeing.
