Here at Burns Sheehan, we’re supporting a seed-funded SaaS business in London that’s building a new product suite for the private equity world. It’s a space that has seen very little purpose-built technology, and most of the workflow still relies on manual processes handled by bankers and lawyers. This team is changing that with a platform designed to handle the operational work that slows investment teams down.
They launched their first product in 2023, which helps PE firms manage incentive programmes across portfolio companies. It’s already past MVP, in use with paying customers, and forms the foundation for a broader multi-product roadmap. As a result, they’re now scaling their London engineering team and hiring several Senior Full-Stack Engineers to help deliver the next wave of features and new products.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Building and shipping new product features while keeping code quality high.
* Working closely with a small engineering team where ideas carry weight and good engineering decisions matter.
* Having input into technical direction across the stack.
* Working on areas such as graph theory and visualisation, document parsing using machine learning, and more complex data and calculation features.
* Helping shape future products as they expand their platform.
What They’re Looking For:
* 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer.
* Strong grounding in TypeScript with solid experience across Node.js and React.
* Comfortable working across the stack and contributing to design and architecture discussions.
* Experience with PostgreSQL, Jest, Playwright or similar testing tools is helpful.
* Any DevOps or AWS knowledge is a bonus.
* Someone who prefers simplicity over unnecessary complexity and enjoys collaborating closely with other engineers.
