The Role: KS3/KS4 Science Teacher We are looking for a committed KS3/KS4 Science Teacher to join this outstanding school on a part-time basis, covering Mondays and Tuesdays until the end of the academic year. You will be responsible for delivering KS3 Science across Years 7-9 and KS4 Biology to GCSE students. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons across KS3 and Biology lessons at KS4 in line with the national curriculum. Ensure continuity of learning by following schemes of work and adapting lesson content as needed. Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support preparation for GCSE Biology examinations. Maintain excellent behaviour management in line with school policies. Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents regarding academic progress and pastoral matters. Safeguard and promote the welfare of students in your care, following all relevant policies and procedures. Experience & Qualifications Required We are seeking a KS3/KS4 Science Teacher who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Has experience teaching KS3/KS4 Science and GCSE Biology within a UK secondary school setting. Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge in Biology and strong understanding of the national curriculum. Has the ability to inspire students and differentiate lessons to suit a range of learning styles and abilities. Is confident managing a classroom and maintaining high expectations of student behaviour. Can work effectively as part of a Science department, contributing to a collaborative and professional team culture. Is committed to safeguarding and upholding the values of a girls' grammar school.
