As a Strategic Business Manager (North) at BD, you will drive growth opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and navigate the healthcare landscape. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, engage senior stakeholders, and promote BD Interventional's innovative solutions to deliver tailored services that drive profitable growth.
About The Role
The Strategic Business Manager focuses on accelerating growth opportunities for BD Interventional Business Units, primarily in strategic accounts. The role requires a specific portfolio of products as identified by Business Unit leads and aims to deliver tailored solutions. It offers cross‑divisional collaboration, deeper account management insight, and development of procurement/NHSSC relationships in the evolving UK NHS landscape.
Main Responsibilities
* Driving cross divisional accelerated sales growth in Strategic Partnership Accounts.
* Set out a Strategic Partnership Account strategy for the designated Territory.
* Build relationships with Senior Stakeholders to establish Strategic Partnerships that support the use of BDI products and business solutions in Acute settings.
* Manage large, complex, multi stakeholder projects to drive sales.
* Promote and execute BD Interventional product leadership strategies and value propositions.
* Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Market Access teams to open and drive sales opportunities.
* Achieve a balance of risk between sales channels.
* Support of bids and contracts – assisting and acting as advisor to sales teams.
* Relationship management – both internal and external customers.
* Liaise and negotiate with NHSSC/procurement hubs for inclusion of BD Interventional products on framework agreements.
* Drive Value Based Healthcare, Signature Solutions and share best practice across BD.
* Build a network regionally/nationally of key healthcare influencers.
* Establish differentiation in BD Interventional solutions.
* Feedback to Senior Management on opportunities/risks and changes in the Healthcare landscape.
* Ensure compliance with ABHI/Eucomed Guidelines.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 years medical device sales experience.
* Degree or equivalent level education; MSc desirable.
* Sales Management (or equivalent) in the medical devices industry – desired but not essential.
* Solid understanding and experience of working in the UK procurement landscape.
* Proven successful sales track record.
* Strong negotiation skills with procurement and budget holders.
* Experience in navigating a complex selling environment.
* Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders as part of a solution‑based sales approach.
* Ability to form lasting customer relationships across a broad section of healthcare professionals, and their management.
Compensation
Salary range: £57,400.00 - £87,550.00 GBP Annual.
