Your new role
Hays Education are looking for a school business support officer with finance experience to join our friendly and professional school team based in Preston. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the setting's financial records, ensuringpliance with internal and external regulations and standards.
This is a school business support job with hours of approximately 8am–4pm, term time only, on an ongoing temporary basis starting in March for 2–3 months initially. School experience is essential for this role and previous experience of the school finance systems and a DBS on the update service would be preferred.
Duties may include:
1. Answering telephone calls and managing messages with courtesy and discretion.
2. Supporting visitors to the school as a point of contact within the main office when required.
3. Supporting day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, banking and ensuringpliance.
4. Producing and analysing financial reports and statements for the school leadership team
5. Auditing accounts and ensuring accuracy andpleteness of data
6. Supporting the senior business leaders with budget planning and monitoring
7. Managing correspondence, including drafting and distributing letters and emails.
8. Adhering to school policies relating to health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection.
