What's involved with this role: Job Title: Data Analyst Ref: Exeter 5275223 Pay rate: £17.23 per hour PAYE Role length: Anticipated 1 - 2 months Working arrangements: Hybrid working – must attend the office for a minimum of 2 days per week and as the business requires The role: We are looking for an experienced data analyst, who can hit the ground running, to help deliver the new corporate performance dashboards and a wide variety of projects identified in the council's Digital Customer Strategy. You will be an experienced Data Analyst with a proven track record of using data from a wide variety of sources to produce dashboards and visualisations that can be used by officers and councillors to make informed decisions and to clear a backlog of work. Key responsibilities: Implementation of the new Corporate Performance Framework currently under development To work with services across the council to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical support with the production of appropriate dashboards and reports nested within the Corporate Performance Framework Produce clear, accurate reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI that can be used by Service Managers, Heads of Service, Strategic Directors, CEO and Councillors as appropriate Provide training and guidance to staff and members on data collection, interpretation of, and creation and usage of Power BI reports Gather, clean and maintain datasets from various council departments and external sources Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with data strategy, data protection and information governance regulations, standards and guidelines Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement Work with data analysts within Strata and the partner councils who make up Strata to share best practice and opportunities for collaboration What the client is looking for: Data analysis experience Power Bi knowledge Ability to support the delivery of corporate performance dashboards Proven ability to work on a variety of projects aligned with the council’s Digital Customer Strategy A strong track record in using data from multiple sources to create meaningful dashboards and visualisations Capability to support officers and councillors in making informed decisions through data insights Ability to provide training and guidance on data collection and interpretation Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends How to Apply: Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
