Senior Operations Manager, Butter & Warehouse – Westbury Dairies UK
Position at Arla Foods – the global dairy cooperative that values sustainable and nutritious choices for consumers. You will report to the Site Director as a core member of the Site Leadership Team, overseeing Butter Operations and Site Warehouse activities while ensuring alignment with broader site business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the butter production department and site warehouse operations, coordinating with our external warehouse and managing approximately 120 direct and indirect reports.
* Champion a transformation of safety and quality standards, contributing to broader site culture initiatives.
* Ensure all departmental activities meet company, customer, and legal requirements.
* Act as a role model by implementing continuous improvement tools and best practices, fostering a zero‑loss mindset across the team.
* Develop and execute a 5‑year operations strategy, support budget planning, and lead CAPEX proposals with clear ROI analysis.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
* Experience of leading Total Performance Management, IL6S, IWS or similar systems.
* Previous experience of implementing digital tools is preferred but not essential.
* Strong operational leadership experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing principles, culture change, and stakeholder engagement.
