About the Role
We're looking for an experienced
Service Manager
to support offshore cable termination and testing projects. Working alongside the
Project Manager
, you'll provide technical and operational support, ensuring effective coordination between office-based teams and
Offshore Installation Managers (OIMs)
onsite.
This hybrid role requires a strong background in offshore operations, particularly in
cable installation
, and
regular presence in our Newcastle office (3 days per week)
.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Project Manager with day-to-day technical and operational aspects.
* Coordinate with OIMs to manage offshore termination and testing operations.
* Ensure safe, timely, and high-quality execution of offshore work scopes.
* Assist with planning, mobilization, and logistics for offshore activities.
* Bridge communication between onshore project teams and offshore personnel.
* Contribute to project reporting, documentation, and lessons learned.
Requirements
* Previous OIM experience
or senior offshore operational role.
* Strong knowledge of
cable installation, termination, and testing
processes.
* Excellent coordination and communication skills.
* Comfortable working in a hybrid setup with
3 days/week in Newcastle
.
Desirable
* Project support experience in offshore energy or renewables.
* Understanding of HSE and offshore compliance standards.
