About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer (Contract) to support Forcys (formerly Chelsea Technologies) in the delivery of key defence-sector engineering projects approaching final completion stages.
Forcys is a leading provider of advanced maritime defence technology, specialising in underwater sensing, tracking, and domain awareness solutions. Building on decades of engineering expertise, we deliver mission-critical capability to defence customers worldwide.
This role will focus on completing outstanding mechanical engineering tasks across two active projects, ensuring successful delivery to specification and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
1. Complete outstanding mechanical engineering tasks on active defence projects
2. Produce 3D models and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks
3. Ensure all drawings meet BS8888 standards and internal quality requirements
4. Support the ordering and specification of prototype and production parts
