Main duties of the job
Operational Trainers at Barchester provide induction and development training to around 5 homes and/or hospitals across a specific region. As one of the initial points of contact between Barchester and new staff, Trainers should demonstrate passion for their role and the Barchester ethos. This role offers the opportunity to witness staff progression from their first day throughout their Barchester career.

Job responsibilities
Barchester Healthcare provides quality care across 240 care homes and hospitals. Our Operational Trainers ensure the delivery of excellent care by training staff to be confident and compassionate. They are key contacts for new staff, demonstrating passion and the Barchester ethos. This is a home-based role involving travel within a specific region.
Requirements include:
* C&G 7300 (or equivalent) Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or relevant experience
* Knowledge of legislative requirements in care
* At least 2 years training experience
* Full UK driving license
Key tasks include:
* Coordination and delivery of training sessions
* Planning and publishing training calendars
* Maintaining employee training files
* Observing workplace practices
* Arranging induction paperwork and buddy systems
* Supporting new staff through coaching
* Participating in external meetings and conferences
* Promoting learning and development opportunities
* Collaborating with Home Managers on personal development plans
