A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its expanding team in Taunton. This opportunity offers involvement in a variety of projects across commercial, residential, retail, and industrial sectors, working within a supportive and progressive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver structural design and analysis for a range of building types and materials.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Use relevant design and modelling software effectively.
Attend client meetings, site inspections, and internal project reviews.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated project delivery.
Work to agreed project budgets and timelines.
Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers (where appropriate). Candidate Requirements
Degree in Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng).
Relevant post-graduate experience in a consultancy setting.
Proficient in structural analysis software.
Familiarity with UK design codes and industry standards.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Chartered or actively working towards chartership (ICE or IStructE). Benefits
