Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Contract Type: Long-term to Permanent contract Salary: £90-£110 per day (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to pupils, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties). Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities. Support pupils in managing behaviour, promoting independence, and developing social skills. Contribute to the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement support strategies. Monitor and record pupils’ progress, feeding back to staff and parents as required. About You Experience of working with children with SEND in an educational or care setting A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
