Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Coding department at Hampshire Hospitals for an ACC qualified coder. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm and motivation to join our well‑established and busy Clinical Coding Department. This role offers a recruitment and retention premium of 20% of the basic annual salary.
As an Accredited Clinical Coder, you will have experience coding a variety of specialties found within an acute NHS organisation. You will bring a flexible and adaptable approach to work, ensuring accurate clinically coded data that meets national coding standards, rules, and conventions to make Trust data robust.
Clinical Coding supports Business Intelligence and Finance teams within Hampshire Hospitals.
Responsibilities
* Manage the volume of uncoded activity in assigned specialties against agreed deadlines.
* Participate in coding audits.
* Assist in providing high‑quality information for the Trust in a timely and accurate manner.
* Work within a centralised coding team, with coding offices at two sites; coders may work full‑time on site or adopt a hybrid working approach.
Qualifications
* ACC qualified coder.
* Enthusiasm and motivation for the role.
* Ability to work flexibly and adaptively.
