Your new role
You will report to the Deputy Head of Asset Management and contribute strategically to the council's property portfolio, focusing on optimal use, income generation, and cost savings. Your responsibilities include acquisitions, disposals, valuations, and delivering the Corporate Asset Management plan to support the council's vision. You will act as the key commercial property advisor, ensuring professional management within guidelines.
What you'll need to succeed
* Up-to-date knowledge of property industry aspects, including legislation, preferably within local authority contexts.
* Experience with educational properties and landlord-tenant matters.
* Skills to manage a small asset management team effectively.
* MRICS qualification or a relevant degree with a desire to become chartered.
