Battenhall Nursery is a small, independent, friendly nursery. As the building was previously a family home we are able to provide a warm, nurturing environment with a 'home from home' feel.
The nursery is open from 7:30 - 18:00 Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year excluding Bank Holidays.
Job Description
We are recruiting a Part Time Nursery Practitioner to cover our busy lunch time periods. Please note this role is for maternity cover from October 2025 to August 2026. The role will include helping cover our staff lunch breaks by supervising our lovely children, serving food and cleaning our kitchen.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, fun, proactive and able to use their initiative to work within our friendly nursery. You will be fully supported in your role by all staff including our Room Leaders and management team.

Job Requirements
* Have an enhanced DBS certificate and be signed up to the update service
* Hold at least a Level 3 Early Years qualification that is deemed to be full and relevant by the Department of Education
* Ideally hold Food Safety and Hygiene qualification
* Ideally hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification.
Responsibilities
* Assisting the nursery team to supervise and care for our children during the lunch time period. This will include covering lunch breaks
* Serving food and adhering to our Food Hygiene policy and standards
* Cleaning the kitchen during and after lunch
* Maintaining a safe and secure environment
* Any other ad hoc jobs.
