This is an exciting opportunity to join our small & friendly Resuscitation Training Team. The post holder will be required to organise Resuscitation Council UK Advanced/Immediate and Basic Life support & Generic Instructor Courses for the Trust and wider community. They will need excellent communication skills as they will be liaising with both internal and external candidates & faculty. Experience working with procurement processes will be an advantage. The suitable candidate will be required to have working knowledge of learning management systems.
The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to cope with a demanding workload and everchanging priorities. The ability to use their own initiative will be essential.
All staff within the Resuscitation Team are supported to further develop their knowledge, skills and abilities.

Main duties of the job
* To work closely with members of the Resuscitation Department to ensure the provision of well organised, high quality RCUK national courses,
* To act as a point of contact for all levels of staff and outside agencies, providing information and advice.
* Liaise with the Resuscitation Council (UK) and adhere to regulations and procedures.
* Communicate effectively with approved Instructors and suitable Candidates.
* To utilise excellent administrative, organisation and interpersonal skills.
* To collate and input data onto Oracle Learning Management System & Resuscitation Council Learning Management System, to record course attendance.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will:
* Provide and receive routine sometimes, complex information from staff at all levels across the organisation other departments and external contacts.
* Negotiating and empathy skills required to provide re-assurance.
* Liaise with the Resuscitation Officers confirming requirements for forthcoming courses and organise events including booking any internal & external Instructors and correspond with course applicants
* Using procurement systems to book travel or accommodation for faculty members.
* Organise, develop and maintain good working relationships with faculty members.
* Involvement in collation and submission of the National Cardiac Arrest audit reports
* Provide cover and deal with course and general enquiries as they arise.
Any other duties commensurate to the grade and as requested by line manager

Education Qulaifications
Essential criteria
* Educated to GCSE level including English & maths at C/4 grade or above
* Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Competent in the use of MS Office
Experience
Essential criteria
* Demonstrable admin experience within a health care or educational setting
* Experience of setting up and maintaining learning management systems
Desirable criteria
* Experience of working in a customer service environment
Skills, Abilities & knowledge
Essential criteria
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Able to produce accurate documentation
* Demonstrates good inter-personal skills
* Ability to deal with challenging situations in the workplace
* Evidence of effective communication both written and oral.
