Pure Search are partnered with a global company based in Glasgow, looking to hire a Senior Tax Manager to manage a large team, work with senior stakeholders - with a focus on tax compliance.
The successful candidate will join a high-performing finance function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of processes, driving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic business objectives through expert tax management and advisory insight.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary EMEA contact for established operating models, providing strategic guidance and supporting their regional implementation.
Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering development, high performance, and career progression.
Oversee corporate tax compliance and reporting for a portfolio of entities across the UK and EMEA, including tax filings, payments, forecasting, provisioning, and internal/external reporting.
Collaborate with the Global Tax Controllers’ team to ensure efficient data collection, accurate reporting, and seamless execution of tax processes.
Work closely with external advisors, statutory auditors, and the global tax function to address complex tax matters and maintain compliance.
Conduct technical tax research and participate in cross-functional projects to support corporate initiatives and process improvements.
Manage responses to tax authority enquiries, audits, and information requests, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Prepare and deliver additional tax analyses, reporting, and ad hoc projects as required by the business.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across functions and regions to drive alignment and support business objectives.
Skills and Experience Required
ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent
Tax experience advantageous but candidates with a finance or audit background are still thought highly of
Demonstrates people management experience, with the ability to guide and motivate high-performing teams.
This is a full time role, based in Glasgow 3 days a week, paying up to £90,000 + bonus.
