Bank contract
To work within the English Language School at Bath College to deliver English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to adults. This will include delivery of entry and pre-entry level provision for non-native speakers and both regulated and non-regulated provision.

Key Responsibilities
To deliver ESOL classes to adult learners at Bath College
Preparation and delivery of courses at appropriate level for non-native speaking adults. Learners will have carried out an initial assessment with the College and be invited into groups of 8 – 10 learners at a time all working at a similar level. There will be a combination of regulated (award bearing) and non-regulated provision ranging from Entry and Pre-Entry Level to Level 2 or above. All courses will fall within the standard Quality Assurance process of the College and will need to include appropriate structure to monitor learner progress and achievement in line with OFSTED regulations.
Delivery of short courses either face to face or online to address particular needs within the community and engage new learners e.g. conversation skills. These courses will also upskill and inform adult learners who may be looking to progress into a qualification or employment where they need to improve their language skills.
Delivery of courses in a manner suitable for adult learners who are likely to present with a wide range of lived experience and varying degrees of confidence and aspiration.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Teaching Qualification at Level 3 or above
Equivalent of GCSE grade 4 (Previously C grade) or above in English & Mathematics
Qualification in area of specialism or study
Demonstrate knowledge of challenges faced by non-native speakers from a wide range of backgrounds
