The role: This position is ideal for somebody looking for their 2 nd role in their Health and Safety career Actively encourage and promote a positive H&S culture throughout the organisation by working pro-actively with managers and staff across all areas of the business. Investigate HSE incidents, identifying root causes and working with stakeholders to achieve timely and effective close-out. Create and deliver training sessions including inductions, toolbox talks, and specific HSE courses. Analyse HSE performance data to identify trends, opportunities and priorities for improvement. Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments, working in collaboration with process owners to risk levels of risk. Chair and contribute to HSE meetings and forums, sharing best practices and lessons learned. Maintain accurate HSE records, including inspections, incidents and training logs. Requirements: Proven experience in an HSE role within a fast-paced R&D/manufacturing/engineering environment Educated to degree level ideally in a STEM subject or relevant topic area Good working knowledge of UK health & safety legislation Minimum NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health & Safety Experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and auditing management systems is a distinct advantage. Confident communicator able to influence at all levels of the organisation. Comfortable when presenting to a diverse audience. Good organisation & planning skills. Skilled in auditing, risk assessment and incident investigation.
