An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 PA/Administrator to join the administration team within the Head and Neck Clinical Service Unit.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide secretarial support to the Head and Neck Service and Consultants within the CSU.
2. Coordinate theatre lists across MFT hospital sites, manage waiting lists, and attend theatre planning MDT / scheduling meetings.
3. Offer general administrative support to the admin team as delegated by the Administration Manager.
4. Take messages and handle telephone inquiries from patients and staff, referring them as necessary.
5. Prioritize and allocate work from mail opening and actioning.
6. Manage the electronic diary of Consultants, planning meetings, activities, and leave.
7. Maintain close liaison with Consultants, GPs, and other health professionals.
8. Work in accordance with Trust and local policies.
9. Coordinate with internal departments and external organizations.
10. Ensure timely completion of work with high accuracy, following departmental protocols.
11. Manage and type clinical, administrative, discharge, and operation tapes in line with Trust targets.
12. Prioritize tasks and manage workload blocks.
13. Take responsibility for own tasks.
