Overview
As Junior Product Developer, you'll assist the design and development team across a wide range of responsibilities, from organising samples and fabrics to supporting the creation of design specs and collection overviews. You’ll be working hands-on with our products every day, gaining real-world experience inside a fast-paced, performance-led studio.
Responsibilities
* Reporting into the senior designer, and working across a range of products, you will support the design and development team to deliver seasonal collections, from initial research through to production.
* General admin: Tracking and co-ordinating deliveries (DHL/suppliers), as well as logging and organising incoming/outgoing samples.
* Work closely with overseas suppliers and respond to email queries throughout the working week.
* Launching and tracking seasonal lab dips with suppliers.
* Design admin: Organising and maintaining the fabric library.
* Creating and maintaining seasonal collection overviews using Adobe Illustrator.
* Communicating sample comments to suppliers.
* Working in Excel and Adobe Illustrator to create design specifications and tech packs.
* Prepare and maintain digital mood boards in Miro, and physical mood boards in the office.
* Carry out competitive market research (comp shops).
* Conduct wash testing, logging and reporting results.
* Work closely with the designer and wider team to ensure timelines and quality standards are consistently met.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and passionate about great product - especially within the running or outdoor space. You are confident in Illustrator and Excel, comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and eager to learn in a close-knit team.
You will ideally have
* A degree in Fashion/Product Design or a related field.
* 2 years of relevant industry experience.
* Strong Adobe Illustrator and Excel skills.
* Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* A proactive mindset and a positive, can-do attitude.
* Strong communication skills and experience working with or communicating with external suppliers.
* Confidence working in a creative, collaborative environment and sharing ideas.
* An understanding of technical product is a bonus.
* A full UK driving licence.
