Empowerment Charity Lancashire Suicide Prevention & Bereavement Officer Blackpool, Lancashire, United Kingdom Empowerment is looking for someone to assist in a trauma-informed approach in responding to suicides in Blackpool by assisting in the facilitation of a Single Point Access System within 48 hours of death. The primary focus is to coordinate a collaborative and comprehensive response, providing wrap-around support to vulnerable families and the wider community. This includes facilitating therapeutic interventions, peer support groups, walk-and-talk sessions, family outings, and educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness and reducing stigma. The role involves active participation in organising The Unite for Hope Event to promote community engagement, as well as conducting drop-ins and pop-ups. Additionally, we will work closely with local businesses and the general public to raise awareness about available services while gathering crucial information. The position includes overseeing and facilitating peer-led support groups for individuals affected by bereavement through suicide. We particularly welcome applications from people who have themselves their own lived experience of Suicide Bereavement.
