Job Purpose Full training will be provided in house for the successful candidate with a view to developing into a Legal Advisor running a full case load of Pursuer RTA ULR/Recoveries cases independently. Key Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for a high-volume caseload ULR/Recoveries RTA Pursuer claims, making use of the firm’s Case Management Systems and using the agreed internal procedures and practices. To progress your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations. Take a practical but commercial approach to settlements and advising clients as to litigation/cost risks. To achieve and exceed various targets set in relation to, for example, profit costs, settlements and issuing, without compromising the firm’s integrity. To liaise appropriately and timely with sources, third party insurers, Defenders solicitors and other relevant parties to ensure that cases are pro-actively progressed. Perform to a high level in a target orientated environment, and meet relevant SLA’s. To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business. Experience & Knowledge Whilst knowledge and experience of RTA ULR/Recoveries cases would be preferred, please note that full training will be given. Knowledge or experience of the legal or insurance industry is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work under pressure. Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to use them. Proficiency in using case management software and other legal technology. Must be able to work in an organised manner and have excellent attention to detail. Excellent IT skills, experience of case management systems would be beneficial. Be able to work well independently or as part of a team. Must have a willingness to learn and develop new skills and experience.
