Location: Near Exeter (5 days in office – loads of free parking – amazing new offices)
Our client is a dynamic, fast-growing business at the cutting edge of product development, manufacturing, and build solutions in electrical, plastics, and retail products that work across Outdoor vehicles/Boats/Yachts etc. The company operates across 25+ international markets, including the US and Europe.
This is a chance to join a commercially savvy Senior Financial Controller to help drive profitability, efficiency, and global growth. The role reports to the Managing Director and leads a small finance team.
The role offers variety—from strategic planning and international market analysis to day-to-day financial discipline.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the finance function, with two direct reports.
* Partner with the MD and senior leadership team on financial strategy and planning.
* Drive cost reduction initiatives and optimise pricing structures across the supply chain.
* Provide analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making on investments, product development, and expansion.
* Manage international financial operations, ensuring compliance across 25+ global markets.
* Oversee management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow.
* Implement and maintain strong financial controls, systems, and processes.
* Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to improve margin performance.
* Present financial performance, risks, and opportunities to the MD and Board.
What we’re looking for (Experience & Skills)
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller / Senior Finance Manager within manufacturing, product, or supply chain-led businesses.
* Strong knowledge of costing, pricing, and supply chain finance.
* International exposure (US and/or European market experience is a plus).
* Track record of driving cost efficiencies and margin improvements.
* Excellent leadership skills with experience managing small teams.
* Strong communicator, able to partner effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
* Hands-on, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, growth environment.
