An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced hospital pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team at University Hospitals Dorset as our Deputy Lead for Medicine, specialising in Respiratory, Gastroenterology and Renal. This role is being offered as a job share. Full-time and part-time working hours will be considered. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a clinical pharmacy service to patients across the specialty. Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the maximum efficacy, safety, and value for money of drug therapy, while demonstrating professional accountability in enhancing patient care. We can offer this role as a band 7-8a progression post with a defined development pathway. This pathway would be suitable for those with at least two years of pharmacy practice experience and has completed at least one year of their clinical diploma (or equivalent experience). You may have some experience in a speciality or are a generalist with a strong grounding in hospital pharmacy, we’ll support you to build the expertise and confidence you need to take on a band 8a post. Weekend shifts 1 in 5 (either Saturday or Sunday) and approximately one Bank Holiday shift per year. This role requires GPhC Registration.
