Teaching Personnel Liverpool are supporting a specialist SEN school on the Wirral to appoint an inspiring and forward‑thinking Headteacher on a permanent basis.
We’re looking for a dynamic leader with a strong background in SEN/SEND who can drive whole‑school improvement, empower staff, and create an environment where every pupil thrives. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Headteacher, or a talented Assistant/Deputy Head ready for the next step in their leadership journey.
What We’re Looking For
Proven senior leadership experience in an SEN, SEMH, AP or specialist setting
Strong understanding of SEND provision, EHCP processes, and inclusive curriculum design
Strategic thinker who can lead school improvement, raise standards, and inspire a positive school culture
Skilled in staff development, coaching, and building high-performing teams
Confident working with parents, governors, LA partners and external agencies
A passionate advocate for children with additional needs
QTS essential; NPQH desirable
Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall vision, strategy and daily running of the school
Ensure high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning for pupils with a range of needs
Oversee safeguarding, behaviour culture and pupil wellbeing
Drive continuous school improvement and quality assurance
Manage staffing, CPD, budgets and operational planning
Strengthen partnerships with families, professionals and the wider community
