Our client based in Northampton requires a Service Technician to join their team to provide field-based Planned Preventive Maintenance support of company products throughout the UK and Ireland. The role involves delivering high-quality, accurate service driven by an understanding of customer needs and expectations.
Responsibilities:
1. Attend customer sites as scheduled by the Customer Service Team Leader to meet departmental commitments.
2. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on various systems.
3. Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
4. Follow predefined procedures and guidelines to ensure safe and efficient operation of company products.
5. Collaborate with team members on installation, commissioning, and training projects.
6. Maintain detailed records of service visits and equipment maintenance.
7. Communicate clearly and accurately with office teams (Customer Service and Helpdesk) to contribute to departmental objectives.
8. Develop relationships with customers to promote the Technical Service Department and product range.
9. Manage and maintain tools, parts, and equipment in line with procedures and standards.
10. Participate in training and development, working with management to identify and address training needs.
11. Contribute ideas and assist in developing standards and procedures to improve department and company performance.
Requirements:
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
* Relevant certifications and qualifications are advantageous.
* No specific engineering experience required; candidates should be highly motivated and able to work methodically and precisely.
