Job Summary
We have 1 full‑time and 2 part‑time vacancies (24 hrs per week) for a residential worker who will support children and young people with disabilities in a full‑time home setting. The role ensures the delivery of a high‑quality residential service in line with the Department's National Care Standards for Children’s Homes. The home offers a warm, fun, caring environment, listening to children’s voices, opinions and feelings and advocating on their behalf. Care is provided for up to three children simultaneously, with support tailored to each individual's needs and strengths.
Responsibilities
Deliver person‑centred care and support to children and young people with disabilities; advocate for their rights and well‑being; maintain a safe and nurturing environment; contribute to team meetings and care planning; ensure adherence to policies and national standards; support children with their daily living skills and development.
Requirements
Work shifts, including weekend shifts every fortnight, bank holidays and evening work. The home is located in Hengrove and will move to Henbury in summer 2026. The role requires an Enhanced DBS check. Applicants must read the person specification and demonstrate how they meet the essential criteria in their application.
