Position: Industrial Cleaning Operative (Factory Environment) Location: Mars Wrigley, Dundee Road, Slough, SL1 4LG Working Hours Full time – 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 Pay & Benefits £12.71 per hour Opportunities for career development Access to the Sodexo employee benefits package About the Role Sodexo is seeking a reliable and conscientious Industrial Cleaning Operative to join our team at the Mars Wrigley manufacturing site in Slough. This role is based within a food production factory environment, where maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene is critical to safe and efficient operations. You will be responsible for cleaning production areas, machinery, and industrial spaces, ensuring compliance with strict food safety, hygiene, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone comfortable working in an industrial setting, following detailed procedures, and contributing to a safety-first culture. Key Responsibilities Carry out industrial cleaning tasks within factory and production areas, in line with site procedures and SOPs Clean and sanitise production lines, equipment, machinery, and operational areas Maintain high standards of hygiene in accordance with food safety and GMP requirements Complete cleaning schedules and documentation accurately Conduct routine checks on cleaning equipment and report any faults or issues Follow all health & safety policies, including the safe use of chemicals and equipment Report hazards, risks, or compliance concerns to supervisors promptly Work collaboratively with the Sodexo team and Mars site personnel to ensure consistent service delivery Attend training and continuously develop knowledge of industrial cleaning processes What We’re Looking For Previous experience in industrial, factory, or production cleaning is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong understanding of, or willingness to learn, health & safety and food hygiene standards Reliable, proactive, and able to follow detailed instructions Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good communication skills and a professional approach Why Sodexo?: Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
