One of our largest logistic clients has a great opportunity within Ocean Import Customer Services to join their team. They have offices grouped in 5 regions including Europe, Africa and the Middle East, working with management suppliers for the operation and interconnections of ocean and air freight platforms. Our hugely successful client has invested in a wealth of training available to employees to encourage professional development within the company.
Ocean Import Customer Services expedite inbound and cross trade movements on behalf of our clients whilst delivering objectives of the group.
Responsibilities:
* Arrangement of international consignments
* End to end monitoring of inbound and cross trade movements
* Receiving of pre-advices and shipping of documentation
* Opening of files and issuing notices of arrival for sea, air, road and courier shipments and cross trades
* Issuing customs clearance instructions in accordance with policy
* Booking of FCL and LCL deliveries
* Day to day invoicing and job costings
* Following up of purchase orders and shipments
* Communication with overseas offices and partners
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years deep sea import experience
* Computer literate, including Microsoft packages
* Dangerous goods by sea would be advantageous but not essential
* Work well under pressure and adapt to change
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* 5 GCSE’s
