Lead the Way to Brighter Futures!
Are you a passionate and inspiring leader ready to make a profound difference in the lives of young people? Do you believe in therapeutic, trauma-informed care and have a proven track record of creating nurturing environments? We're searching for an exceptional Registered Manager to lead a vital children's residential home in Coventry, West Midlands.
This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to shape a home where children aged 7-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) can thrive, heal, and build a brighter future. You'll be at the heart of ensuring every young person receives the highest quality of care, guided by compassion and unwavering regulatory compliance.
What You'll Be Doing: Your Impact
As our Registered Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the home's success, leading a dedicated team and ensuring an outstanding standard of care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Visionary Leadership: Providing strong, empowering leadership, fostering a positive and supportive work environment, and upholding the highest standards of regulatory compliance (Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards).
* Expert EBD Support: Overseeing admissions, crafting bespoke care plans, managing risks, and implementing effective behaviour management strategies. You'll champion trauma-informed care, nurturing emotional resilience, and planning engaging activities that support young people's growth and community inclusion.
* Unwavering Safeguarding: Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring robust safeguarding practices, maintaining Ofsted compliance, and fostering a culture where safeguarding is paramount.
* Team Empowerment: Recruiting, training, supervising, and developing a skilled and compassionate team. You'll conduct regular supervisions and appraisals, driving continuous improvement within the staff.
* Collaborative Working: Building strong relationships with external stakeholders, advocating fiercely for the needs and rights of the children in your care.
* Operational Excellence: Managing the home's budget, resources, and staffing efficiently, ensuring meticulous record-keeping, data protection compliance, and reporting on performance.
What You'll Bring: Your Strengths
To excel in this rewarding role, you'll need:
* NVQ Level 5 Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare) or an equivalent qualification.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children's residential care.
* Demonstrable experience working with children and young people who have EBD, experienced trauma, and present complex behaviours.
* In-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Ofsted framework.
* A valid Enhanced DBS check and a full UK driving licence.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* The flexibility to participate in an on-call rota.
