Job description
We have a great opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Dental Nurse to join a dedicated team in Cumbria, supporting their commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
* Preparing and maintaining the clinical environment, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
* Ensuring patients are comfortable and providing reassurance and support.
* Recording and updating patient medical and dental histories.
* Mixing and handling dental materials.
* Taking and processing dental radiographs (X-rays).
* Performing infection control procedures and adhering to health and safety protocols.
* Managing and maintaining equipment and instruments.
* Scheduling patient appointments and managing patient records.
* Maintaining accurate patient notes and ensure confidentiality.
* Assisting with stock control and ordering dental supplies.
* Liaising with patients, dental professionals, and other healthcare providers.
Requirements:
* Qualified Dental Nurse (NEBDN or equivalent).
* Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
* Previous experience working as a Dental Nurse is preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work well in a team and independently.
* Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
* Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast tracked through our recruitment process today.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
