Role
As a General Operative, you’ll play a key part in delivering essential infrastructure works across our live projects and long‑term maintenance frameworks. Typical works include:
* Rail infrastructure (platforms, station works, trackside civils)
* Bridges (underbridges, overbridges, footbridges)
* Highways and roadworks
* Earthworks, embankments and drainage
* Flood alleviation and environmental works
* Tunnels and structural repairs
You’ll be working within a busy, fast‑paced environment supporting a variety of clients including Network Rail, Local Authorities and other major infrastructure partners.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Previous experience as a General Operative or Semi‑Skilled Tradesperson within the rail or civil engineering sector
* Ideally a valid PTS
* Relevant competencies or trade certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, time‑served background)
* A strong safety mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a site team
