We have an amazing opportunity for a Marketing apprentice (level 3) to join our Marketing team. This is an ideal stepping-stone for someone keen to build a career in digital marketing, events, or communications. You’ll gain hands-on experience across social media, email marketing, and events while learning how to deliver marketing campaigns that attract and retain students throughout their university journey and into employment or further study. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in digital marketing, especially social media content creation, a creative eye, and good time management skills. A Day in the Life of a Marketing assistant apprentice From the moment you log on, your day is shaped by creativity. Morning focus: You start by exploring trending TikTok formats and Instagram content, bookmarking ideas that resonate with students which you could work around - especially around career choices and balancing study with life. Content creation: Next, you edit short-form video highlights from recent campus visits, adding captions and tailoring posts for different student life stages before scheduling them across platforms. Event coordination: Midday brings planning for the annual careers fair calendar. You research fairs in Birmingham and Leeds, request exhibitor costs, and update the events tracker to keep schedules smooth and clash-free. Campaign development: In the afternoon, you draft email copy for final-year students, spotlighting career tools and upcoming webinars to help them feel confident about their next steps. Wrap-up routine: Before logging off, you clear inbox enquiries, prepare tomorrow’s worklist, and check the scheduling platform to ensure everything is set to publish as planned. You finish the day with a clear sense of progress - creative content ready to inspire, events taking shape, and campaigns aligned to support students at every stage. Who we’re looking for: Familiarity with social platforms is key as this makes up the key responsibility of the role (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn). Interest in digital marketing, social media, and events is essential. A creative mindset and eye for detail. Basic IT literacy, with a keen interest in learning digital content creation tools and e-learning authoring platforms. The ability to handle multiple tasks, concurrently and meeting their deadlines without detriment to their success or quality, using Microsoft office applications for project/task/communication management. Basic understanding of email or marketing software would be beneficial as would some experience with content creation (video, visual, or copy). You will need to have the following: At least 5 GCSEs/or equivalent (including Maths and English) at grades 4 (A-C) or above You are 16 years of age or over by the time you start your apprenticeship A UK resident (for at least the past 3 years) with the right to work in the UK who will be living in England for the duration of the apprenticeship. To qualify for the apprenticeship levy you need to reside in England or be able to work from an England Jisc office for a minimum of 3 days per week. Not in full-time education (you can of course be in education when you apply but must have completed your studies by the time the apprenticeship starts.) Eligibility: Please note that we will not be able to offer you this apprenticeship if you have a Marketing qualification (or similar subject) at Level 3 or higher, such as: Level 3 Diploma (including A-level) in Marketing Level 4 Marketing Executive apprenticeship Foundation Degree or Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Marketing Undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in marketing or closely related fields Sponsorship: Please note that this role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
