About the Role This role will be co-located within a multidisciplinary team supporting families who are undergoing a pre-birth assessment. The primary objective of the role is to offer intensive domestic abuse support to those undergoing pre-birth assessments. By embedding specialist domestic abuse expertise within the pre-birth assessment team, the postholder will contribute to all multi-agency assessment and response at this critical stage. The role will also provide advice, guidance, and support to practitioners allocated to cases where domestic abuse poses a risk within the family home. In this role you will : Identify domestic abuse earlier and more consistently at contact. Improve timeliness and quality of decision-making and assessments. Develop robust, survivor- and child-centred safety plans and support plans from day one. Reduce repeat referrals and repeat victimisation. Strengthen whole-family practice and safe perpetrator management pathways. Expert domestic abuse input in decision-making, support plans and assessment. Strengthen the survivors' voice throughout all assessments and processes.
