Background
DIVERSE-CDT is the UK’s only Centre for Doctoral Training in Visualization, a collaboration between City St George’s, University of London and the University of Warwick, with £10M in funding from EPSRC and 20 commercial partners. The Research Scientist will be based at City St George’s and will liaise closely with CDT staff and students across schools and institutions.
Responsibilities
* Serve as an influential supportive presence in DIVERSE-CDT’s collaborative research space.
* Provide reactive support to doctoral students in all aspects of research as needs emerge.
* Identify and nurture students requiring close support, especially those without a research background, offering close guidance.
* Help create a rich and supportive scientific learning environment for all students.
Person Specification
* Hold a relevant PhD with a record of academic publications in visualization in major journals or venues.
* Possess skills and experience in data preparation, analysis, design and visualization, and research methodology.
* Demonstrate a critical and reflective approach.
* Proven ability to support and mentor doctoral researchers.
