Project Engineer - Food Machine Manufacturing
Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring successful delivery of food machine manufacturing projects.
* Sourcing equipment from our own range of products and that of close partner companies
* Working with the client to establish working line layout and agreeing KPI’s
* Generating P&ID’s & PFD’s
* Supplier negotiations and equipment purchasing
* Project cost tracking and monitoring, conduct our own internal fabrication quality and pre-assembly inspections and those with the client prior to despatch
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production teams, and clients, to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive project plans.
* Conduct analysis to ensure machines meet design specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
* Design and coordinate the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of food machinery, adhering to project timelines and budgets.
* Create detailed engineering drawings, documentation, and technical reports to facilitate project execution and compliance.
* Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and clients regarding food machine functionality, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Happy to travel all over the UK and sometimes overseas to oversee engineers and projects
* Proven experience as a Project Engineer in the food machine manufacturing industry.
* Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and equipment, including conveying systems, mixers, packaging machines, etc.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet project deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and quality.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
* Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and a commitment to promote a safe working environment.
