Job Title: Data Technician Apprentice

Contract Type: Apprentice 16months + EPA (2months).

Qualification achieved: Level 3 Data Technician

Salary: £10.00 per hour for candidates under the age of 21 ( £12.21 per hour for candidates 21 age and over)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Location: Arlington, London / Hybrid

The difference you will make as Data Technician Apprentice

In this role you will be supporting the Business Insight Manager as a Data Technician Apprentice in the collection, processing, and presentation of data to enable informed decision making across the Property Services division. You will work under the guidance of senior colleagues to source data from trusted sources, format and blend data, and present it using appropriate tools and methods. You will also ensure data is handled securely and ethically, contributing to business outcomes through accurate and timely data analysis.

* Demonstrates a basic understanding of how data is structured, stored, and used, with a strong interest in developing this knowledge further.
* Shows awareness of the importance of data protection and ethical handling and is eager to learn about relevant regulations such as GDPR.
* Willing to learn how to collect, format, and present data accurately using tools like Microsoft Excel or data visualisation platforms including Microsoft Power BI.
* Interested in developing problem solving skills to identify and resolve data quality issues.
* Communicates clearly and is open to improving how they explain data insights to different audiences, including non-technical audiences.
* Works well both independently and as part of a team, with support and guidance.
* Pays attention to detail and is committed to learning how to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
* Displays professionalism and integrity in handling information, even at an early stage in their career.
* Adapts well to new tools, techniques, and ways of working, showing a positive attitude toward learning.

Role Profile

Support the Business Insight Manager as a Data Technician Apprentice in the collection, processing, and presentation of data to enable informed decision making across the Property Services division. You will also ensure data is handled securely and ethically, contributing to business outcomes through accurate and timely data analysis.

Role Requires You To

* Sourcing, collating, and formatting data from trusted sources in a secure and compliant manner to facilitate processing, analysis, and presentation.
* Presenting data using appropriate formats such as tables, charts, and graphs to support performance reviews and decision making.
* Blending and analysing structured and unstructured data from multiple sources using basic statistical methods to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Reviewing and interpreting performance reports to highlight underperformance and support the development of action plans and performance improvement initiatives.
* Ensuring data quality and integrity, identifying and resolving issues, and meeting statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements.
* Supporting the auditing of services, both internal and external, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used for analysis and reporting.
* Maintaining and improving data systems and processes, contributing to continuous improvement and ensuring alignment with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
* Applying legal and ethical principles in all aspects of data handling and manipulation, ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
* Managing stakeholder relationships, providing advice and support, and communicating data outcomes clearly and appropriately to various audiences.
* Embedding a performance and customer-focused culture, promoting effective service delivery and the use of management information across the business.
* Responding flexibly to changing priorities, supporting the effective operation of the service, and contributing to business process improvements.
* Reviewing feedback and service failures, identifying lessons learned and escalating actions to drive service enhancement.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties or requests as directed by management to support the effective operation of the service.

* An interest in or exposure to coding or scripting languages such as SQL or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
* Experience in working within the housing sector
