What the Job Involves As an Assessment Officer, you will work within the People Directorate, reporting to a Team Manager. You will be responsible for managing a caseload, undertaking assessments, and developing support plans for vulnerable and disabled individuals in the community. Your role involves collaborating with various professionals, health services, and organizations to deliver high-quality social care services. You will implement and review support plans, manage risks, and ensure compliance with policies and standards. Your duties will also include recommending adaptations and resources, safeguarding vulnerable individuals, and contributing to service improvements and performance targets. Skills NQV level 3 in related field or equivalent experience Knowledge of disability legislation and community care issues Familiarity with assessment systems and adaptation processes Ability in preparing feasibility plans and understanding building processes Competency with manual handling techniques and adaptive equipment Experience with financial processes and budgeting Commitment to diversity and equal opportunities Excellent ICT skills Strong partnership and teamwork skills Proven customer-focused approach and high professional standards
